Bar Graph Poster

                                    
For math me {Meredith},Ella and Hannah decided to chose Favourite store's for a bar graph we needed to record twenty peoples opinions. they chose out of these stores Typo, Smiggle , Kmart and Farmers the order of most picked to least picked is 
Kmart, Typo, farmers and Smiggle . Hannah made a scale of our of our graph on her cromebook  later printed it and glued onto the poster when it was finished we decorated it and drew shop logos

Being In Room 5

"my new class for 2019 is room 5 it's been pretty different to room 9 but I enjoy it. During the first and second week of school we did lots of cool art I really enjoyed it to celebrate Waitangi day this art mostly represents the koru which is a Maori plant we used lots of different colours we did this in week one the week before Waitangi day. Our art is now displayed in our class to honour the Maori people from back then when they signed the treaty" . in week two the year sixes came back from camp and joined their classes in room five 
our teacher gave us puzzle pieces to decorate .when we finished 
they were put outside of our class for everybody to see.

Shrove Tuesday

it's Shrove Tuesday! This morning we burnt the palms from Palm Sunday 2018 AKA last year with Father Bernard and two people from our parish.

  After doing that we got back on to doing work in the afternoon and then before going home we joined Room 1 to make pancakes. We had lots of fun teaching the little kids.
While we did our blog they did drawing and writing and some of us read to them . The teachers called people up to get a pancake while the others stayed doing their blogs. While making the pancakes the room smelt delicious. The reason we make pancakes 
is to use up all the flour , milk  and sugar before Ash Wednesday.

growth mindset work

this term my class is doing growth mindset for topic/inquiry we have learnt about the power of the word yet and we've been using can do attitude towards all our work we put title pages in our book and have been working on quotes to put on display .we also put our growth mindset thoughts and our answers in our book .

the thing about being 

brave

is that you have to be afraid of something

to push it away and look fear in the face let it know you're not afraid and start to realise bravery is simply the strength to 

                        push you're fear and worry aside.

and live your life well so make the most of it and be brave.


I wrote this poem because a lot of people go through rough times and I think is very important to be brave.
